Odds Converter & Implied Probability
Type odds in any format and see decimal, fractional, American and implied probability instantly, then check the bookmaker margin on a 1X2 market.
How to use the odds converter
Type into any of the four boxes: decimal, fractional, American or implied probability. The other three fill in at once.
Implied probability is the chance the price represents, before allowing for the bookmaker margin.
The margin section takes home, draw and away odds and shows how much the bookmaker builds in, plus the fair odds with that margin removed.
Example: Decimal 2.50 equals 3/2 fractional, +150 American and a 40% implied probability. A 1X2 market of 2.10, 3.40 and 3.60 has a margin of about 4.8%.
Frequently asked questions
How do I convert decimal odds to fractional?
Subtract one and turn the result into a fraction: 2.50 becomes 1.5, which is 3/2.
How are American odds calculated?
Above 2.00 decimal, the American price is (decimal − 1) × 100 with a plus sign. Below 2.00 it is −100 ÷ (decimal − 1).
What is the bookmaker margin?
The amount the implied probabilities add up to above 100%. It is the bookmaker's built-in edge.
What are fair odds?
Odds with the margin taken out, so the implied probabilities add up to exactly 100%.
